A woman in her 50s, suspected of infidelity, and her 30-something son-in-law, who assisted in the crime, have been referred to the prosecution for cutting a significant part of her husband's body with a weapon.
On the 7th, the Incheon Ganghwa Police Station announced that Ms. A (57) has been sent to the prosecution on charges of attempted murder, and her son-in-law Mr. B (39) has been sent on charges of attempted murder of a lineal ascendant.
Ms. A is accused of attempting to kill her husband, Mr. C (in his 50s), by stabbing him multiple times in the face and arms with a weapon at a cafe in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, around 1 a.m. on the 1st.
During this process, Mr. B is accused of assisting Ms. A's crime by tying up Mr. C with ropes and tape.
Mr. C was found to have been unable to resist particularly as he fell asleep while drinking. He was transported to a hospital immediately after the incident, and it was reported that his life is not in danger.
Initially, Mr. B denied the allegations, stating, "I was outside the cafe," but police uncovered evidence during the investigation that he tied up the intoxicated victim along with Ms. A.
Mr. B reportedly acknowledged some of the charges, saying, "I committed the crime at Ms. A's request."
Police are investigating the exact circumstances, noting that Ms. A committed the crime out of suspicion of her husband's infidelity.
