A basic livelihood recipient in Dong-gu, Busan has garnered attention for donating 100,000 won to help flood victims.
On the 7th, Dong-gu, Busan, announced that an 80-year-old basic livelihood recipient donated 100,000 won to help residents affected by heavy rainfall.
This basic livelihood recipient is said to have visited the Choryang 1-dong administrative welfare center on the 5th and handed an envelope containing two 50,000 won bills to an employee.
He noted, "I received assistance through the livelihood recovery consumption coupon, and I wanted to give back, so I donated."
He expressed that he does not want his identity revealed, saying, "It's a small amount of money, but I am happy to be able to deliver the donation to those who have been affected."
Han Hye-kyung, head of Choryang 1-dong, stated, "The donation will be delivered to the Community Chest of Korea's special fundraising account for damage caused by heavy rain to aid in recovery efforts."
