A man who poured gasoline on the sidewalk in front of Seoul National University Hospital was arrested by the police.
The Seoul Hyehwa Police Station announced on the 4th that they had arrested a man in his 80s, identified as Mr. A, in the act of public intimidation.
Mr. A is suspected of pouring gasoline on the sidewalk in front of Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno District, Seoul, around 9:50 a.m. on the 30th of last month. He reportedly committed the act in frustration over the hospital's treatment and said he wanted to voice his complaints.
The police, responding to a report, arrested Mr. A at the scene and confiscated the gasoline container used in the crime.
The police requested an arrest warrant for Mr. A, but the court rejected it.
