On Sunday, the 3rd, rain is expected across the country, temporarily easing the heat.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain will start in the Jeonnam region and Jeju Island in the morning, followed by rain in the Chungnam and Jeonbuk areas from the afternoon. At night, rain will fall nationwide except for the east coast.
The expected rainfall from the 3rd for two days is 50 to 100 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam, with some areas expecting more than 150 mm; 30 to 80 mm in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, with some areas expecting more than 100 mm; 50 to 150 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; and 30 to 100 mm in Jeju Island.
The lowest morning temperature is forecasted to be between 23 and 28 degrees, while the highest daytime temperature is expected to range from 31 to 36 degrees. The concentration of fine dust is expected to be at a 'good' to 'moderate' level across all regions due to smooth air diffusion and rainfall.
The sea waves are predicted to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. In the inner offshore area (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
