Sohee (real name Kim Sohee), a former member of the group Alice, was sent to the prosecution as the perpetrator of malicious rumors that claimed she "met her husband while working in a bar." Sohee retired from the entertainment industry after getting married.
On the 30th, Sohee revealed through her Instagram, "I have decided to file a complaint after experiencing discomfort due to outrageous falsehoods recently," and noted, "The case is currently sent to the investigative agency."
Sohee stated, "Starting with the outrageous story that I 'met my husband while working in a bar,' they created and spread manipulated screenshots of conversations claiming 'I saw Sohee' and 'I worked somewhere.'" She added, "They have also threatened my family." She emphasized, "This matter will not end without severe consequences, and it is to ensure this does not happen again."
Sohee learned of the issue after receiving reports that accounts were spreading malicious rumors about her among celebrities and influencers. She stated, "At first, I took it lightly and only issued warnings, but it gradually began to cross the line."
Sohee also expressed, "From my trainee days until my retirement after debuting in 2017, I have never once acted in a way that I could not be proud of in the entertainment industry," and added, "Because I have always done my best in my position, it has been very difficult for me to see my long-held sincerity and honor being distorted and doubted."
Regarding her marriage, she said, "I naturally ended up marrying my current husband after meeting him at a birthday party of a colleague I filmed with," and she conveyed, "I am currently spending the most stable and happy time in my life."
Sohee further stated, "I believe that shaking someone's life with false information is not something to be taken lightly," and said, "Since it is not true, at first, I might have taken it lightly, but I realized that such silence allows rumors to be accepted as truth in this world. Therefore, I am conveying my position directly. I am truly grateful for all the support and interest in my recent activities, even after my retirement."
Sohee was the runner-up in SBS's "K-Pop Star 6 - The Last Chance" in 2017 and debuted as a member of Alice that same year. She announced her marriage in April last year and got married that year. Her husband is 15 years older.
