According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, heat advisories and warnings are in effect in most areas nationwide. Only the Taebaek region in Gangwon and the Jeju Mountains are not under heat advisories.
The lowest temperature in Gangneung last night was 30 degrees, indicating a tropical night. Other low temperatures last night included 28.8 degrees in Seoul, 26.8 degrees in Incheon, 25.8 degrees in Suwon, 28.5 degrees in Cheongju, 27.1 degrees in Daejeon, 25.4 degrees in Sejong, 26.7 degrees in Jeonju, 26.7 degrees in Mokpo, 25.9 degrees in Gwangju, 27.1 degrees in Ulleungdo, 26.8 degrees in Busan, and 26.3 degrees in Jeju.
The daytime temperatures will be similar to the previous day, ranging from 32 to 37 degrees (30.8 to 38.3 degrees). The Korea Meteorological Administration noted, "The maximum perceived temperature will rise to around 35 degrees, making it feel very hot."
In the southern inland areas of Gyeonggi, Chungcheongnam-do, southern Chungcheongbuk-do, and Jeollabuk-do, showers are expected from the afternoon into the evening. The anticipated rainfall from the showers is 5 to 30 mm. While the temperature will temporarily drop during the showers, it will rise again during the day in high humidity after the rain stops, feeling very hot.
