An incident occurred where electricity supply was cut off to 25 commercial establishments in the Wondong area of Incheon.
According to reports from Incheon City and others on the 26th, around 7:17 p.m. that day, a power outage at commercial establishments in the Wondong area caused business disruptions for merchants. Despite the heatwave, they faced inconveniences due to not being able to use air conditioning.
A heatwave warning was issued in Incheon starting from 10 a.m. the previous day. The maximum temperature that day exceeded 34 degrees Celsius, continuing the hot weather.
The Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has determined that the power outage was caused by a failure of one transformer and is conducting repair work.
A KEPCO official noted, "It is expected to take about two hours until the repair work is completed."
