Kim Moon-soo, former Minister of Employment and Labor and candidate for the People Power Party in the last presidential election, reported assets of approximately 1.09 billion won, an increase of about 20 million won compared to what was publicly disclosed a month prior when he resigned from his ministerial position in April to run for president.
According to the changes in asset declaration criteria published in the official gazette on the 24th by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee, the assets reported by former Minister Kim included: ▲ an apartment owned by his spouse in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul (480 million won) ▲ deposits owned by himself and his spouse (560 million won) ▲ cash of 20 million won, totaling 1.094 billion 320,000 won.
Former Minister Kim resigned from his ministerial position after a cabinet meeting on April 8 to run for president and was elected as the People Power Party's presidential candidate on May 3. Recently, he expressed his intention to run for the party's leadership.
