The lawyer for Mrs. Kim also reportedly asked for a guarantee of a 3 to 4-day break between the dates and requested that all investigations be conducted only until 6 p.m.
On this day, Jeong-hee Oh, a special prosecutor, said at a press briefing, "The lawyer for Mrs. Kim submitted an opinion letter regarding the summons investigation." He added, "The special investigation team has initially conveyed to Mrs. Kim's side that it will conduct the investigation 'according to principle.'"
The special investigation team told Mrs. Kim on the 21st to appear as a suspect for questioning on August 6. They stated, "Mrs. Kim is under suspicion for violations of the Capital Markets Act related to the alleged stock manipulation of Deutsch Motors and SAMBU Construction, as well as allegations involving political broker Myung Tae-kyun."
