The special investigation team summoned Kim Keon-hee in relation to the 'Housekeeper Gate' on the afternoon of the 23rd, questioning Park Chun-won, the CEO of JB Woori Capital.
CEO Park arrived at the special investigation office located in the KT Gwanghwamun Building West in Jongno-gu, Seoul, around 2 p.m. When asked by reporters about the reason for his investment decision, he said, "I will talk about it after I go in." He also answered "no" to the question of whether he had contacted Kim Ye-seong in advance.
Housekeeper Gate refers to the suspicion that IMS Mobility, a rental car company established with the involvement of Kim Ye-seong, who is known as the housekeeper of Mrs. Kim's family, had received an improper investment of 18.4 billion won from Kakao, Shinhan Bank, and others in 2023. JB Woori Capital is also one of the corporations that participated in the investment at that time.
However, controversy arose when it became known that 4.6 billion won of the investment was used by 'Innovest Korea,' where Jeong serves as CEO, to buy back shares it previously owned. The special investigation team is suspicious that some of the 4.6 billion won obtained by Innovest Korea might have flowed to the couple Kim, and potentially to Mrs. Kim as well.
