Yakson House noted in a statement posted on its website on the 22nd that 'this incident is a matter related to the personal affairs of our company's employees and is unrelated to our business activities and operations.'
They continued, 'The suspect is neither a shareholder nor an employee of our company and is completely unrelated to our management activities,' and added, 'Nonetheless, inquiries related to the recent incident have caused confusion and disruptions in our work.'
Furthermore, Yakson House stated, 'We ask for cooperation to prevent speculative reports or suspicions surrounding our company from being produced or amplified in relation to this incident,' and expressed, 'We earnestly hope that neither further social unrest nor third-party victims will arise related to this incident involving our executive, who is also a family member of the victim.'
Earlier, on the 20th, a shooting incident occurred at an apartment in Songdo International City, Yeonsu District, Incheon, where A (62) fired a homemade firearm, killing his son B (33). B was shot in the chest and was transported to a hospital but died. A fled immediately after the crime but was apprehended by the police in Seocho District, Seoul, in the early hours of the 21st.
