Former President Yoon Suk-yeol is reported to not attend the trial scheduled for the 24th on the charges of being a leader of a rebellion.
According to the legal community, Yoon's defense team submitted a document indicating that it would be difficult to attend the 10th trial scheduled for the 24th at the Seoul Central District Court's 25th Criminal Division (Director General Ji Gwiyon), which is hearing charges of rebellion and obstruction of the exercise of rights. The reason for his absence is reported to be health-related.
Earlier, Yoon did not attend the trials held on the 10th and 17th.
In response, the court conducted the trial using the 'testimony of witnesses outside of the scheduled date' method to hear witness testimonies without Yoon.
Yoon is currently detained at the Seoul Detention Center. Since the issuance of his arrest warrant on the 10th, Yoon has not attended trials for two consecutive weeks and has not responded to the special prosecutor's request to appear.
