Actress Seo Hyo-rim said that due to heavy rain, "the road has been washed away and we are isolated." He is currently living a rural life in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province.
On the 20th, Seo Hyo-rim posted several photos showing the damage on his Instagram story, saying, "The consolidation is only now slowly connecting, and the road has been washed away, so we are in an isolated state. The electricity is cut off, and water is not coming out."
The photos shared by Seo Hyo-rim showed landslides caused by heavy rain, with soil and broken trees on the road along with damaged vehicles. Seo Hyo-rim is known to be living between Seoul and Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province.
Seo Hyo-rim said, "Many people are contacting to express concern, but there are currently no casualties in our village." He continued, "Other nearby villages are suffering significant damage," adding, "I never realized how terrifying landslides could be until I experienced this. I hope there are no more damages."
In Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, around 3:30 a.m. that day, rain fell at a rate of 76 mm per hour. The total accumulated rainfall reached 197.5 mm as of 9:30 a.m.
According to the North Gyeonggi Provincial Fire Department, two people died in Gapyeong-gun due to the recent heavy rain. In Sin-sang-ri, Jongjeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, a pension collapsed due to a landslide, resulting in the death of a woman in her 70s. Near Daeboryeong, a man in his 40s was swept away by fast currents. This man was reportedly camping with his family about 6 km away from Daebo Bridge. Authorities have classified the man's wife and son as missing persons and are conducting a search in the area.
