It has been confirmed that the special investigation team is conducting a search and seizure of Heerim Architects & Planners on the morning of the 21st.
The special investigation team noted that they are searching the Heerim office around 11 a.m. that day. Heerim is suspected of having ties to Kim Keon-hee, as it sponsors the contents managed by her, called Kobana Contents. This search and seizure is reportedly related to an investigation into the allegations of soliciting Cambodian official development assistance (ODA) projects by the Unification Church (World Peace Unification Family Federation).
Heerim is known as the 'sponsor company of Kim Keon-hee' for sponsoring three exhibitions organized by Kobana Contents from 2015 to 2018. After Yoon Suk-yeol took office as president, Heerim also entered a contract for the remodeling of the Yongsan Presidential Office.
The Unification Church is suspected of delivering a 60 million won Graf diamond necklace and two Chanel bags worth 10 million won each to Kim Keon-hee through Jeon Seong-bae, a monk, in order to secure this project.
Meanwhile, the special investigation team is conducting a second search and seizure of the Unification Church headquarters in Seoul related to the solicitation allegations involving Jeon Seong-bae. The special investigation team is reported to have sent investigators to the Unification Church headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, starting that morning to secure document materials and files from PCs.
