Singer Lim Young-woong donated 200 million won under the name of his fan club "Hero Age" to help disaster victims and communities affected by heavy rainfall.
The Community Chest of Korea announced on the 21st that 200 million won was donated under the name "Hero Age." The donation was made with 100 million won each from Lim Young-woong and his agency, Fish Music. The donation will be used for emergency relief, temporary housing, livelihood support, and recovery for disaster victims affected by the heavy rain across the country.
Lim Young-woong said, "I am heavy-hearted thinking of those who are being threatened in their daily lives and enduring each day in fear due to the sudden heavy rain. I hope this small gesture of kindness can provide some comfort, and I sincerely wish for everyone to restore their daily lives as soon as possible."
Lim Young-woong's total donations through the Community Chest of Korea amount to 2.3 billion won, including this donation. The Community Chest will conduct a special fundraising campaign for recovery from the heavy rain damage until August 17.
