Explosives were discovered at the residence of a suspect accused of shooting his family with a homemade firearm in Incheon on the 20th.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 21st that the police special forces found and safely removed homemade explosives, including thinner and timers, from the suspect's residence in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul.
Police stated that the apprehended suspect confessed to installing explosives in his Ssangmun-dong residence, prompting the evacuation of all 105 residents of the building and a search of the area.
The suspect is a man in his 60s, accused of shooting a family member, a man in his 30s, with a homemade firearm at an apartment in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, around 9:31 p.m. on the 20th.
