Kim's attorney noted in a call with ChosunBiz that "we have not yet received the (special prosecutor's) attendance request", but added, "the position remains that we will cooperate sincerely with the investigation."
Earlier, the special prosecutor announced in a regular briefing that "a summons request was sent by mail to Kim Keon-hee's residence regarding allegations of violations of the Capital Markets Act, requesting her to appear for investigation on August 6 at 10 a.m."
Special Prosecutor Hong-joo Moon stated regarding Kim's investigation plan, "It is related to Deutsch Motors, SAMBU Construction (stock manipulation allegations), legal broker Geun-jin, and political broker Myung-tae-kyun."
Meanwhile, the special prosecutor also announced that former President Yoon Suk-yeol was notified of a summons on the 29th. Deputy Prosecutor Moon stated, "An investigative cooperation request was sent to the director of the Seoul detention center, asking former President Yoon to appear as a suspect at 10 a.m. on July 29 for allegations of violations of the Public Official Election Act." The special prosecutor plans to conduct an investigation related to the allegations against Myung.
