Starting from the afternoon of Sunday, the 13th, the whole country will be cloudy, with some regions expecting rain. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, after a heavy rain warning was issued for Haenam, Yeongam, Wando, Jangheung, Gangjin, and Jindo in Jeollanam-do at 11 a.m., it is being expanded to other regions. A heavy rain warning was issued for Naju, Jeollanam-do at 11:45 a.m., for Gwangju at 12:10 p.m., and for Jangheung, Muan, Sinan, and Hampyeong in Jeollanam-do at 12:10 p.m., for Tongyeong, Sacheon, Goseong, and Namhae in Gyeongsangnam-do at 2 p.m., for Yeosu, Goheung, Geomundo, and Chodo in Jeollanam-do, and for the eastern part of Jeju at 2 p.m. A heavy rain warning was also issued for Jinan and Muju in Jeollabuk-do at 2:20 p.m.
As of 2 p.m., rain is falling in some areas of the western coastal Gyeonggi and Chungnam. Expected rainfall from today to the 15th is: ▲ Busan, Ulsan, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, the eastern inland of Gyeongnam, and the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk 50 to 100 mm ▲ Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, inland Gyeongnam, Daegu, inland Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island 30 to 80 mm ▲ Southern Gyeonggi, eastern Gangwon, southern western Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Chungbuk 20 to 60 mm ▲ Northern Gyeonggi, Seoul, Incheon, mid and northern western Gangwon 10 to 40 mm, and the five western islands 5 to 20 mm.
The heat wave is expected to ease somewhat due to the rain. The morning low temperatures on the 14th are forecasted to be between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius, while the highest daytime temperatures are expected to range from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
