The special prosecutor's office stated that it has summoned Hong Jang-won, former Vice Administrator of the National Intelligence Service, for questioning on the 9th.
The special prosecutor's office said it is investigating Hong, the former Vice Administrator, as a witness regarding the state of emergency declared on December 3rd at around 10 a.m. today.
Former Vice Administrator Hong had previously revealed that former President Yoon Suk-yeol had ordered the arrest of key figures, including politicians, during the state of emergency.
In relation to this, the special prosecutor's office is reportedly set to primarily investigate the contents regarding the arrest list from that time.
Meanwhile, a pre-arrest interrogation (substantial examination of the warrant) to determine whether to issue an arrest warrant for former President Yoon is scheduled to take place at the Seoul Central District Court at 2:15 p.m. today.
