Seoul City announced on the 30th that it will pilot its own delivery service 'Ttaeng Delivery' as part of the public delivery service 'Seoul Delivery+Ttaeng-yo' starting July 30 in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The own delivery method manages the entire process from the consolidation of consumers and delivery drivers to real-time delivery routes and food delivery. This is a system where the delivery app operator consolidates management from consumers to franchise stores to delivery.
Ttaeng Delivery is operated in collaboration with the delivery agency 'Barogo' by its operator, Shinhan Bank. The existing operation method, 'Store Delivery,' requires franchise owners to directly contract with a delivery agency, resulting in additional expenditures for individual franchise management (monthly franchise fees).
In the case of Ttaeng Delivery, consumers can have the delivery fee waived or reduced to about 900 won when ordering food. According to Seoul City, if the benefits of the district delivery-only vouchers (15% advance discount) and the agricultural ministry's public delivery app activation coupon (10,000 won for three orders over 20,000 won), which has been in progress since the 10th, are added, the discount effect can be even greater.
Seoul City stated that Ttaeng Delivery would work efficiently for franchise owners as well. There are no additional surcharge burdens besides the fixed delivery fee of 3,300 won per delivery, and automatic rider matching occurs without a separate call to the delivery agency. It is also possible to operate it in conjunction with the existing Store Delivery service, allowing flexibility based on the store's situation.
Franchise stores that wish to be included in Seoul Delivery+Ttaeng-yo can apply through the 'Online Franchise Application' menu on the 'Ttaeng-yo Owner's Lounge' website.
Han Jeong-hoon, director of the small business policy department at Seoul City, said, "We will continue to promote citizen awareness and expand franchise participation to activate public delivery services."
