A man in his 20s was arrested by the police for switching male and female restroom stickers in a bathhouse elevator, which led to a female patron suffering from exposure.
The Incheon Michuhol Police Station announced on the 17th that they had charged a man in his 20s, referred to as Mr. A, without custody for obstruction of business.
Mr. A is accused of deliberately switching the 'male' sticker on the 3rd floor and the 'female' sticker on the 5th floor in a bathhouse elevator in a building in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, around 11 p.m. on the 26th of last month.
As a result, a woman in her 20s followed the elevator instructions and headed to the male restroom, during which her body was exposed to male patrons. The victim woman is reported to be receiving psychiatric treatment due to psychological shock following the incident.
The police identified two suspects through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the building and summoned Mr. A for questioning on the 16th. It is reported that Mr. A stated during the investigation, 'I did it as a prank.' Police are also considering whether to charge another person who was with Mr. A.
