As President Lee Jae-myung revealed plans to transfer his office to the Blue House, a full-scale renovation and maintenance work on the trails within the Blue House grounds is underway.
According to the Blue House Foundation on the 5th, full-scale renovation and maintenance work on the trails began the previous day. Access to the trails for visitors will be restricted until the construction is completed. The construction area encompasses a total of 1.31 km of the Blue House trails, starting from the back road of Chilgung and continuing to Baegakjeong and the side road next to the Chunchugwan.
Facilities excluding the trails, such as the main building and the guest house of the Blue House, will still be open for viewing as usual. The foundation reportedly conveyed that this construction is unrelated to President Lee Jae-myung's election.
The foundation is accepting reservation for tours for up to four weeks as usual until the return of the presidential office is confirmed. It also plans to hold regular weekend performances.
