Acting Minister of the Interior and Safety Ko Gi-dong inspected the voting and counting support situation room on the 3rd, the date of the main election for the 21st president.
Acting Minister Ko visited the voting and counting support situation room set up in the conference hall of the Civil Service Center in Sejong City that morning, receiving a report on the voting progress from the head of the situation room.
The voting and counting support situation room will operate from the start of early voting on May 29 until the counting is completed.
Acting Minister Ko said, "We must be fully prepared to respond promptly to various emergency situations such as power outages, fires, and communication failures that may occur during voting and counting," and added, "I hope everyone will do their best to support fair and safe election management until the voting and counting are complete."
