Group 'ASTRO' member and actor Cha Eun-woo will enlist in July.
According to his agency, Fantagio, on the 29th, Cha Eun-woo, who has applied for the Army band, has confirmed his enlistment date as July 28. He is the second among ASTRO members to enlist, following MJ.
Cha Eun-woo previously interviewed with the Ministry of National Defense's military band earlier this month and recently received notification of his acceptance. He will enlist in July, undergo basic military training, and then serve in the military band.
Fantagio also announced the enlistment news on its online fan cafe, stating, 'In order to prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun-woo's enlistment will be kept confidential. No separate event will be held.'
They also requested, 'We ask for your generous support and warm encouragement for Cha Eun-woo, who will faithfully fulfill his defense duties and return in good health.'
Cha Eun-woo debuted with ASTRO in 2016 and has been active as a solo singer since early last year. In 2014, he began his acting career by playing a supporting role in the film 'My Brilliant Life.' He is currently filming the new Netflix series 'The Wonderfools.'
