Acting President and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho said on the 26th, "We will meticulously review our position regarding the concerns of the U.S. side, and based on this, please thoroughly prepare so that discussions can be continuously conducted in the next government."
Acting President Lee made this statement during an economic security strategy meeting held at the Seoul Government Complex on the same day.
Attendees of the meeting included the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the acting head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the second deputy prime minister, the head of trade negotiations, and the first vice minister of the Ministry of Industry.
Meeting attendees shared the results of the second Korea-U.S. technology consultation held last week and discussed the direction of responses to U.S. consultations moving forward.
Acting President Lee noted, "We must continue to communicate with the National Assembly regarding the results of this consultation and future responses to the U.S."
