Hwa Won-mi, the wife of former Major League Baseball player Choo Shin-soo, is gaining attention for her decision to sell her husband's cherished items.
On the 14th, Hwa Won-mi revealed this in a video titled 'I'm really selling everything belonging to Choo Shin-soo' uploaded to her YouTube channel. The video features Hwa Won-mi introducing Choo Shin-soo's cherished items and confessing her reasons for wanting to sell them.
Hwa Won-mi pointed out that the most eye-catching item among Choo Shin-soo's cherished possessions is the Bentley that her husband treasures. This vehicle is known to be a luxury sedan with a price close to 400 million won.
She noted, 'During our 10 years in the U.S., it was only driven for 90,000 kilometers. When we brought it to Korea, it cost quite a lot of money including taxes.' She added, 'The wheels are white, and my husband immediately repairs it if it gets even slightly scratched. He has spent more time in the hospital than driving it.'
Regarding the reason for wanting to sell the Bentley, she mentioned, 'I feel jealous because it's clear that he loves this car too much.' She continued, '(If there are those who sincerely want to buy it after watching my YouTube, please contact me. Negotiations are possible. A signed ball from Choo Shin-soo and a bat can also be added. I feel like this channel will explode if I do something like this when my husband is not around.)'
Hwa Won-mi and Choo Shin-soo got married in 2002 and have two sons and a daughter. The couple previously revealed their life in the U.S. through a television program. After his seven-year contract with the Texas Rangers ended in 2020, Choo Shin-soo joined the Korean baseball team SSG Landers. Since retiring from professional baseball, Choo Shin-soo is currently serving as a special advisor to the owner of SSG and overseeing player development.
