Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 7th that it will present a special edition of the Gwanghwamun advertisement in collaboration with the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines" for May, the month of family.
This special edition is scheduled to be showcased for a month. The message reads, "In my father's winter, I became a tree after consuming all their greenness," utilizing narration that compares parents who give abundant love and devotion to their children, who grow while being nurtured by that love, with a tree.
Kyobo Life Insurance plans to display a different message at its Jeju headquarters. One of the messages displayed there, "Goji Gla, Goji Ga," conveys the meaning of "Let's go together" in the Jeju dialect. It signifies that if we go together, even a hundred-mile journey can feel like ten miles, encouraging everyone to walk together. This message comes from a line in "When Life Gives You Tangerines," said by an elderly couple living in a small seaside village in Jeju as they took care of a newlywed woman in a difficult situation.
A representative from Kyobo Life Insurance said, "Family love is a force that supports the foundation of our society, and I hope this becomes an opportunity to restore the sense of community that puts neighbors before oneself," and noted, "We promoted collaboration while resonating with the value of 'love.'"
Meanwhile, Kyobo Life Insurance plans to hold an event starting on the 8th for participants to upload certification photos to their Instagram accounts to promote the special edition. Participants should post photos taken of the special edition by the 8th of next month and leave hashtags such as '#GwanghwamunAdvertisement', '#WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines', and '#FellForGwanghwamunAdvertisement'. Following the official Gwanghwamun advertisement Instagram account will also increase the chances of winning.
Kyobo Life Insurance will give away hotel accommodation vouchers, Kyobo Bookstore signature-scented diffusers, and "When Life Gives You Tangerines" merchandise (including character books, frames, and postcards) through a lottery. Additionally, the Kyobo Life Insurance integrated platform will accept applications for warm words that people want to share with their family from the 12th of this month to the 8th of next month.
