Oh Se-hoon, the Mayor of Seoul, said on the 30th regarding remarks made by Mr. Myung Tae-kyun prior to the prosecution's investigation that it was "a ridiculous claim" and that it would result in "lengthening the prison term."
On that day, the mayor wrote a post on Facebook titled "To Mr. Myung Tae-kyun" and disclosed this.
He wrote, "I cannot help but feel pity seeing someone cloaked in hostility making absurd false claims to the world."
Earlier, on the 29th, Mr. Myung stated while appearing before the prosecution, "I came from Changwon to Seoul to catch Oh Se-hoon, who has inflicted irreparable wounds on my beloved wife and my daughters." Mr. Myung claims that during the 2021 Seoul mayoral by-election, Mayor Oh demanded multiple public opinion surveys from him, and that the expense was covered by a supporter of Mayor Oh.
The mayor also noted, "Even if it seems effective at first to use sorcery to faithfully carry out what certain political forces desire, such attempts will ultimately result in lengthening your prison term."
In this context, he said, "If you truly wish to protect your family's honor, starting now, you must speak only the truth about what actually happened."
