According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 22nd, the rain falling in most areas nationwide is expected to cease by tonight. However, the east coast of Gangwon, the east coast of Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island are forecast to see rain continue until the morning of the 23rd. Additionally, from early morning on the 23rd, there may be rain of less than 0.1 mm in the Chungcheong region and southern areas.
A Korea Meteorological Administration official noted, "In areas where it rains today and tomorrow, visibility may be reduced and roads may be slippery," and urged that "sufficient safety distance be maintained while driving and cautioned about safety."
The lowest temperature in the morning of the 23rd is expected to range from 8 to 16 degrees, while the highest temperature in the afternoon is expected to be between 14 and 25 degrees. This is about 2 to 4 degrees higher than the average. In particular, the temperature difference between day and night will be around 15 degrees, especially in the metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, and Chungbuk.
The fine dust concentration is expected to be at a "good" level nationwide. In the morning of the 23rd, there may be fog with visibility of less than 1 km in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeongnam region.
A strong wind advisory is in effect for the southern western sea, where very strong winds of up to 60 km/h will blow until the 23rd, and waves will be very high at 1.5 to 4 m. The gale warning for the eastern offshore of the southern sea is expected to be lifted at 5 p.m. on the same day, but there is a possibility that a strong wind advisory will be issued for the central offshore of the eastern sea, the northern offshore of the southern eastern sea, and the near offshore of the eastern sea on the 23rd.
