On the morning of the 15th, a man in his 30s, referred to as Mr. A, was arrested for kicking and destroying a Tesla 'Cybertruck' that was parked in front of a building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul stated on the 21st that it had arrested Mr. A, who had damaged the Cybertruck and fled, on the 19th. The police analyzed nearby closed-circuit TV (CCTV) footage and urgently apprehended Mr. A around 1:40 p.m. on the 18th in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
Earlier, Mr. A was suspected of damaging the side mirror on the passenger side of a Cybertruck owned by a hospital by kicking it around 2 a.m. on the 15th.
According to the police, after damaging the Cybertruck, Mr. A moved to a nearby BMW dealership and kicked four test drive vehicles, breaking the passenger side door.
Before kicking the Cybertruck, Mr. A caused a commotion by assaulting a hotel staff member with a flashlight at a hotel he was staying at in Nonhyeon-dong. He is also suspected of knocking over a delivery motorcycle.
