A former deputy minister of eBest Investment Securities was arrested on the 15th for allegedly receiving several hundred million won in exchange for providing loans from a developer.

According to the legal community on that day, Seoul Central District Court Director General Jeong Jae-wook conducted a pre-arrest questioning of former eBest Investment Securities deputy minister A and stated, "There is a concern of evidence destruction," issuing an arrest warrant requested by the prosecution.

Previously, the anti-corruption investigation division 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, led by Director General Lee Seung-hak, requested an arrest warrant for A on charges of bribery under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes and loan sharking.

A is accused of receiving several hundred million won and directly investing in projects while facilitating multiple loans in exchange for the loans provided to two developers from 2018 to 2022.
