The police have decided not to forward the case regarding Kim Se-yeol, the representative of the Garosero Research Institute, who was sued for defamation by '10 million YouTuber' Jiyang (real name Park Jung-won), but the prosecution requested additional investigation.
According to the police on the 14th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office accepted Park's objection on the 14th of last month and requested the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul to conduct a supplementary investigation into Kim's case.
Kim stated that Park's claim that he worked at an entertainment establishment due to the assault and coercion by his former boyfriend was 'not true' and was subsequently sued for defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act, as well as for threats and coercion.
The police concluded the case in February, stating that Park had dismissed the complaint and there was insufficient evidence to prove the criminal allegations, classifying it as 'dismissed' and 'not guilty.' However, it is reported that the prosecution determined that Park's intention to withdraw the complaint had not been confirmed.
Park plans to appear at the police station as the complainant on the afternoon of the 16th to be questioned.
