On the 13th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will expand support for tourism and MICE corporations to strengthen the smart MICE city foundation in collaboration with the Seoul Tourism Foundation.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is pursuing four key policies through the 'Seoul MICE Small and Medium Business Development Plan' for a sustainable smart MICE city vision: ▲ building a convergence MICE platform ▲ creating an inclusive ecosystem ▲ expanding global public-private governance.

This year, the plan is to expand the attraction of high-value tourists by combining the introduction of digital technology with large-scale infrastructure and to strengthen support for related corporations.

Over six months, specialized capability accelerating will be conducted to provide consulting focused on five areas of innovation, such as digital utilization and market entry.

In particular, new specialized advisors will be appointed in the fields of law, labor, and accounting to strengthen one-on-one free consultations and in-depth consulting for corporations.

Consultations will be conducted either by visiting the center or through on-site visits. Last year, 540 consultations recorded a 99% satisfaction rate.

MICE corporations can apply for consultations with specialized advisors through the Seoul Tourism and MICE Corporation Support Center website.

Gil Gi-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation, noted, 'We will spare no effort to strengthen the competitiveness of the Seoul MICE industry even amid rapidly changing circumstances.'

Gu Jong-won, director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, 'We will actively foster capable MICE corporations to introduce Seoul as a smart MICE city that lives up to its reputation as the world's best MICE city.'
