A man accused of murdering his wife just three months after marriage was urgently arrested by police while serving as the chief mourner at his wife's funeral.
The Seoul Gangseo Police Station stated on the 9th that it had transferred a man in his 30s, referred to as A, to the prosecution on charges of murder on the 20th of last month.
A is suspected of strangling his wife while intoxicated at their newlywed home on the 13th of last month. A reportedly called the police, stating, "When I came home from work, my wife was not breathing." He denied the allegations but was said to have taken on the role of chief mourner at his wife's funeral.
A was urgently arrested by police on murder charges just a day after the funeral was established. He reportedly told police during the investigation, "I committed the act impulsively while intoxicated."
