The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office announced on the 9th that it has organized election investigation teams across the country in preparation for the 21st presidential election, which will be held on June 3.
The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office revealed this through a media notice on the same day. It also said, "It has instructed to ensure thorough investigation of election crimes by implementing phased emergency measures."
The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office noted, "This election poses a significant risk of heated and chaotic elections as the intra-party primaries, overseas voting, early voting, and main voting will all take place in a short period. It has instructed to work closely with relevant agencies to strictly address illegal election crimes that could have a significant impact on the election."
The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office stated that violations of intra-party primary election campaign methods, violations of polling regulations, the dissemination of false facts through various media such as social media (SNS), illegal election activities disguised as assemblies, and election violence are crimes that could significantly impact the election.
