CIO Chief Oh Dong-woon noted on the 9th that a probe is underway regarding allegations of abuse of power against Acting Prime Minister Han Deok-soo. Chief Oh also stated that candidate Lee Wan-kyu for the Constitutional Court (Minister of Justice) is also "a subject of investigation."

Chief Oh made this statement during a meeting of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee. When Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Yong-min asked, "Aren't you going to arrest Acting Han Deok-soo, who intervened in the trial and continued to advocate for insurrection?" Chief Oh replied, "This is an ongoing investigation, so I can't say much, but it is currently under investigation."

Since December of last year, several organizations, including the Democratic Party, Justice Party, Green Party, and Labor Party, have reported Acting Han Deok-soo to the CIO on allegations of abuse of power and dereliction of duty. The report accuses him of unlawfully delaying the appointment of three Constitutional Court candidates (Ma Eun-hyuk, Jeong Gye-seon, and Jo Han-chang), which obstructed the impeachment trial of former President Yoon Seok-yeol.

Meanwhile, Chief Oh stated, "I inform you that there is a complaint filed regarding candidate Lee Wan-kyu for the Constitutional Court, which is being investigated." This was in response to Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Yong-min's question, "Aren't you going to arrest Minister of Justice Lee Wan-kyu, who is among the key suspects in the insurrection?"

On December 4th, the same day the martial law was lifted, Minister Oh met with Minister of Justice Park Sung-jae, former Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min, and Senior Secretary Kim Joo-hyun at the presidential residence in Samcheong-dong, after which he replaced his mobile phone. This has raised suspicions that the heads of executive departments directing the prosecution and police, along with the Minister of Justice who holds authority for legal interpretation, gathered to discuss subsequent measures and a second martial law.
