The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 7th that it will accept candidates for the '11th Republic of Korea Civil Service Award' until May 14.
The Republic of Korea Civil Service Award honors civil servants who have dedicated and served for the country and the people, and successfully executed major national policy tasks.
Citizens who want to recommend a civil servant can submit candidates through the Proud Civil Servants Story website of the Ministry of Personnel Management or the online application portal on the websites of central administrative agencies, metropolitan cities, provinces, and education offices.
Candidates recommended by citizens will be forwarded to their respective institutions and undergo evaluations by institutional public service review committees. They will then be re-recommended to the Ministry of Personnel Management, where final evaluations and selections will take place to determine the award recipients. Awarded civil servants will receive honors, decorations, presidential citations, or prime ministerial citations based on their contributions.
Personnel Management Minister Yeon Won-jeong said, "We expect a lot of participation from citizens so that proactive civil servants who work closely with the public can be recommended."
