Friends of the late Kim Sae-ron are reportedly drafting a statement revealing that Kim Soo-hyun was in a relationship with the minor Kim Sae-ron.
In a statement from the family of Kim Sae-ron, the lawyer said regarding Kim Soo-hyun's press conference, "The family expected a sincere apology from Kim Soo-hyun, but there was none."
They noted, "There are about eight friends who knew that the deceased was in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since she was a minor," adding, "The friends who watched the press conference are feeling frustrated and are writing a statement, which they might disclose."
The family said, "If (Kim Soo-hyun) had just acknowledged, 'There were good feelings since the minor years, but I remember the normal relationship starting after she became an adult,' it would have been fine. I don't understand why he keeps denying this."
Kim Soo-hyun firmly denied the rumors of having dated the minor, stating during a press conference on the 31st of last month that he was in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron only after she became an adult in 2019 for approximately one year. He said, "I did not date the deceased when she was a minor," adding, "The deceased's family claims I drove her to her death because I am her ex-boyfriend and is pressuring me to confess to something I did not do."
Additionally, regarding the reconstructed KakaoTalk conversations released by the family of Kim Sae-ron, he stated that they were "manipulated" and disclosed a letter of opinion. He also revealed that he is pursuing a lawsuit for 12 billion won in damages against the family of the deceased, an unidentified individual, and the operators of Garosero Research Institute.
