
On March 1, Yoon & Yang LLC announced that it has brought in lawyer Kim Chi-yul, a former member of the Fair Trade Commission, as a partner.
Lawyer Kim graduated from Korea University with a degree in political science and international relations. After passing the CPA exam in 2008, he worked at Samil Accounting Corporation. He later enrolled at Sungkyunkwan University Law School, obtained his lawyer qualification in 2014, and passed the administrative examination for legal professionals the following year. Since then, he primarily conducted investigations and policy work related to corporate groups at the Fair Trade Commission.
At the Fair Trade Commission, lawyer Kim worked in various departments including consumer policy, disclosure monitoring, holding company policy, corporate group policy, and key investigation teams. He was responsible for investigating unfair internal transactions, managing the holding company system, overseeing the disclosure system for large-scale internal transactions, and investigating cases of violations of e-commerce laws.
In 2022, he was awarded for his contributions to consumer complaint handling, and in 2023, he received recognition for his contributions to improving the CVC system, both in the field of fair trade.
