Singer Lim Young-woong donated 400 million won to support recovery efforts for wildfire damage across the country.
On the 31st, the Community Chest of Korea noted that donations had been delivered under the fan club name "Hero Era" on the 28th.
This donation was made with Lim Young-woong contributing 300 million won and his agency, Fish Music, adding 100 million won. The funds will be used for relief activities and recovery efforts for those affected.
Lim Young-woong said, "I hope this can provide some strength to those who have lost their daily lives due to the wildfires and are struggling with the firefighting efforts."
Including this donation, the cumulative donations delivered to the Community Chest of Korea by Lim Young-woong and his agency under the fan club name "Hero Era" total 2.1 billion won.
Since 2021, he has consistently engaged in charitable acts through the Community Chest of Korea, showing concern for various social issues, including support for the major wildfire damage in Gyeongbuk Uljin and Gangwon Samcheok, emergency assistance for heavy rain damage, and winter support for low-income vulnerable groups.
The fan club "Hero Era" has also joined the Community Chest of Korea's "Sharing Leaders Club" to continue regular donations, and is actively engaging in various activities such as volunteer work, sharing briquettes, and supporting vulnerable groups in their respective regions.
The Community Chest of Korea is conducting a special fundraising campaign for wildfire damage support until April 30.
