On the 29th at approximately 5:37 a.m., a magnitude 2.5 earthquake occurred in the sea, 38 kilometers southwest of Geomundo Island in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province.

The Korea Meteorological Administration reported that the earthquake occurred at latitude 33.90 degrees north and longitude 126.93 degrees east. The earthquake's depth was 20 kilometers. The Korea Meteorological Administration noted, "No damage is expected from the earthquake."
