BTS member Jungkook donated 1 billion won in support of the wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 28th that Jungkook of BTS had delivered 1 billion won to support wildfire victims in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.

Of the donation made by Jungkook, 500 million won will be used for emergency support and provision of relief supplies for those who lost their homes due to the wildfire. The remaining 500 million won is scheduled to be used for awareness and treatment improvement projects for firefighters dedicated to disaster sites such as wildfires and fires.
Jungkook said, “I hope this small help will be of assistance to everyone who is going through a tough and tiring time, and I wish for those who are suffering due to this wildfire and for everyone working hard in the firefighting efforts to regain their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible.”
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude, saying, “We appreciate Jungkook's valuable sharing with the neighbors, and we will do our best in the field support activities so that his sincerity can be a great comfort to the victimized residents.”
Hope Bridge is currently supporting more than 440,000 relief items to the wildfire-affected areas, including relief kits, partitions for evacuation shelters, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food supplies, and is continuing various on-site relief activities including laundry support at the shelters. Additionally, meal support for firefighters and on-site emergency response personnel is also ongoing.
Meanwhile, Jungkook previously donated 1 billion won to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital in 2023 to support medical expenses for children from low-income families and the integrated care center project.
Currently, the Yeongnam region is experiencing widespread damage due to large wildfires. According to the Central Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, as of 6 a.m. that day, the casualties from the wildfire situation include 28 deaths, 9 serious injuries, and 28 minor injuries, totaling 65.
