Kim Ho-chang, the CEO of Up Study, recently criticized Jeon Han-gil (real name Jeon Yu-gwan), a friend and Korean history instructor who has been leading the opposition to President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment, calling him "garbage," stirring controversy. Meanwhile, Kim's remarks from 2019 during the Cho Kuk incident, where he defended the former Minister's family, are gaining attention.

According to political circles on the 27th, Kim claimed during an appearance on "Kim Eo-jun's Ddanshin Broadcasting Station" in August 2019 that "the daughter of Candidate Cho went through a very normal admission process." This was a statement aimed at refuting allegations of fraudulent admission. Kim emphasized, "The fact that Candidate Cho's daughter passed the global leading talent selection was not through a special selection but a normal standard selection."

In February of that same year, Kim engaged in a public debate with former Dongyang University professor Jin Jong-gwon on the topic of "Is it the Cho Kuk incident or the prosecution incident?" He participated as a debate panelist defending the former Minister's family while Jin took the opposing side. During the debate, Kim pointed out, "If we look at it this way, it's not 90% of candidates, but 100% of all admissions can be canceled."

Meanwhile, Kim's "garbage" comment became a topic of conversation when Jeon mentioned it directly at the "Anti-Impeachment Rally of Patriotic Citizens in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do" held at Antioch Church in Seo-gu, Gwangju, on the 23rd. Jeon said, "Since I started politics, I have become enemies with my friends," and added, "The closest friend calls me garbage and doesn't contact me. "

In response, Kim revealed on Facebook that it was he who referred to Jeon as garbage, stating, "When a friend goes down the wrong path, saying that it is wrong is what a friend does," and added, "The reason I called Jeon Han-gil 'garbage' is not due to political differences, but because he continues to act in garbage-like ways, and this is something I must say as a friend."
