
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon reported assets worth approximately 7.4 billion won, the highest amount among current metropolitan leaders.
According to the 2025 regular asset changes for public officials published in the official gazette by the Government Public Official Ethics Committee on the 27th, Mayor Oh reported assets of 7.4 billion 554 million won, an increase of 1.4 billion 2954 won compared to the previous year.
With his assets, Mayor Oh ranks first among regional leaders nationwide, and his increase is also the highest. The total securities he reported amount to 2.8 billion 9503 won, a significant jump from 397 million won the previous year. He invested in major U.S. listed companies such as NVIDIA, MicroStrategy, and Palantir Technologies.
The mayor's spouse also reportedly holds overseas stocks including TSMC, NVIDIA, Tesla, and Palantir Technologies.
Additionally, the mayor and his spouse own a multi-unit dwelling in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, valued at approximately 2.4 billion 1600 won. They also reported land in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, worth 134 million 449 thousand won, under the spouse's name.
Deposits total 4.1 billion 4471 won, a decrease of 1 billion 7170 won compared to the previous year (3 billion 7301 million won).
Besides that, Mayor Oh reported a membership at Lotte Fitness Club worth 12 million won and a Banyantree Club & Spa Seoul membership under his spouse's name worth 120 million won.
Kim Byeong-min, Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs in Seoul, reported assets of 1.1 billion 9418 won, an increase of 536 thousand won compared to the previous year. Kim Tae-kyun, the Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination, reported assets worth 2.1 billion 2989 won, an increase of 1.1 billion 150 million won compared to the previous year. Kim Seong-bo, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs, reported an increase of 1.1 billion 5415 won from the previous year, with assets now totaling 238 million 4300 won.
Choi Ho-jung, chairperson of the Seoul City Council, reported a decrease of 31 million 710 thousand won, totaling 5.2 billion 5267 won.
Among the heads of autonomous districts in Seoul, Joo Seong-myung, the head of Gangnam District, reported the highest amount of 48.2 billion 508 million won, also ranking first among local public officials. He is from a corporate background.
Joo reported ownership of the Dogok Lexel apartment under his name, along with 39 officetels, 21 commercial facilities, 7 medical facilities, and 8 lodging facilities.
Park Kang-soo, the head of Mapo District, reported having gifted all 12,000 shares of unlisted stock in Ilgan Sisa Newspaper under his spouse's name. This is said to have been delivered to their married daughter.
