A forest fire that started in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, is spreading toward Juwangsan National Park in Cheongsong County.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a Juwangsan National Park official said on the 25th, "The forest fire, which spread to Pachun-myeon in Cheongsong County, has crossed to a location about 4 kilometers from the boundary of Juwangsan National Park." They added, "We have requested support for firefighting vehicles and equipment from other regional offices."

An official from Juwangsan Township Office also said, "The forest fire is rapidly spreading with the wind, so we are evacuating residents."

According to Cheongsong County, Juwangsan National Park was designated as the 12th national park in South Korea in 1976 and is one of the three major rock mountains along with Seoraksan and Wolchulsan.
