The court denied the tractor protest rally by the Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group under the National Farmers' Association (NFU) scheduled for the 25th.
On the 24th, the Administrative Division 3 of the Seoul Administrative Court (Director General Choi Soo-jin) ruled that the entry into Seoul using tractors by the NFU Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group against the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency was not permitted. However, it allowed up to 20 trucks to enter Seoul from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Previously, the Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group reported to the police that they would hold a tractor protest on the 25th, urging the Constitutional Court for a prompt decision regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol. They stated they would mobilize 20 tractors and 50 one-ton trucks to march from Namtaeryeong to Gwanghwamun.
However, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency prohibited the participation of tractors and trucks in the march due to concerns over clashes and traffic inconveniences. The Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group submitted a request for a temporary injunction to the court, claiming the measure was unjust.
The Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group also held a protest rally in Seoul on December 21 last year, claiming 'President Yoon's arrest' with more than 30 tractors and over 50 trucks. At that time, the Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group engaged in a standoff with the police for nearly 30 hours near Namtaeryeong Pass and eventually entered the vicinity of the presidential residence in Hannam-dong.
