Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said it is "unacceptable" that the Korean Farmers Federation (Jeon Nong) announced plans for a tractor rally to call for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, a city official reported on the 24th. Mayor Oh reportedly instructed to respond to the tractor rally in cooperation with the police and others during a meeting with executives.
Earlier, the Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group under the Korean Farmers Federation reported to the police that they would hold a rally using tractors and 1-ton trucks on the 25th. They planned to gather in Namtaeryeong, Seocho District, and then proceed to Gwanghwamun. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Department issued a notice to restrict gatherings that prohibit the march of tractors and trucks.
Mayor Oh also announced plans for the forced dismantling of the tent set up by the opposition party in Gwanghwamun calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol. According to the city of Seoul, he instructed to implement administrative measures in cooperation with the district office and the police. The city also decided to apply the same policy to the tent opposing impeachment in front of the Constitutional Court.
