In the midst of wildfires occurring across the country, including Gyeongbuk Uiseong, Gyeongnam Sancheong, and Ulsan Ulju, donations for affected local residents are ongoing.
According to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on the 24th, broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk donated 50 million won to the association for the residents affected by the wildfires.
Yoo Jae-suk has consistently donated coal briquettes during the winter for 12 years, as well as donating each time disasters like the Pohang earthquake, COVID-19, and flood recovery occur.
Yoo Jae-suk's total donations to Hope Bridge so far amount to 1.05 billion won, and it is reported that including other donations, he has donated over 3 billion won.
A representative from Yoo Jae-suk's agency noted, "We decided to donate with the hope that it would help the wildfire-affected residents in some way, and we wish for those suffering from this sudden disaster to quickly regain their daily lives."
Actress Chun Woo-hee and broadcaster Lee Hye-young also donated funds to the association for wildfire relief. Chun Woo-hee donated 40 million won to support disaster relief and firefighters working on the scene.
Chun Woo-hee said, "I hope the wildfires are extinguished quickly and that neighbors affected can return to their daily lives as soon as possible, and I would like to support the firefighters who are responding to disasters."
Chun Woo-hee, a member of the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," which consists of high-value donors, has been donating during every disaster, large and small, including wildfires, typhoons, and heavy rains.
Lee Hye-young also delivered 20 million won, saying, "I hope this helps those who lost their homes due to the wildfires in some way."
