The Korea Fire Agency issued an additional 'national firefighting mobilization order' as a wildfire that started in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province, spread to Andong.

The Korea Fire Agency noted on the 24th that "the wildfire in the Uiseong area of North Gyeongsang Province has expanded into the Andong region due to strong winds and will issue an additional order in accordance with the 'national firefighting mobilization order No. 3.'"

The national firefighting mobilization order is categorized into levels 1, 2, and 3, according to the scale of disaster. Level 3 is issued for large-scale disasters, mobilizing more than 200 firefighting vehicles and personnel nationwide.

With the issuance of this level 3 order, an additional 73 pump trucks will be mobilized nationwide. Regionally, there will be 7 in Busan, 2 in Daegu, 6 in Incheon, 2 in Gwangju, 3 in Daejeon, 2 in Sejong, 10 in Gyeonggi, 15 in northern Gyeonggi, 10 in Gangwon, 3 in North Chungcheong, 4 in South Chungcheong, 3 in North Jeolla, and 6 in South Jeolla. So far, a total of 226 firefighting vehicles from across the country have been deployed to the Uiseong wildfire site.

Authorities are deploying 2,728 personnel and firefighting vehicles for nighttime firefighting efforts. After sunrise tomorrow, helicopters will be mobilized again for full-scale firefighting operations.
