Earlier, KORAIL halted train operations between Andong and Gyeongju due to the fire that occurred on the 22nd and implemented bus connections for transportation. The suspension was a response to the wildfire that broke out around 11:24 a.m. on the 22nd in the hills of Goyang-ri, Anpyeong-myeon, Uiseong County, and another fire that occurred near the Hahwa Tunnel section of the Jungang Line around 3:45 p.m. on the same day.
Meanwhile, as of 5 a.m. on this day, the firefighting rate for the Uiseong wildfire, which has continued for two days, is at 4.8%.
